ORAL HEALTH CARE IN TODDLERS

Now that your child has already got his pearls its time you start brushing them.⠀

Here are few tips to help you take care of those little pearls.⠀

🦷SPIT IT OUT⠀
To begin with, start teaching your child to spit. For this start with drinking water and make the child practice with you. The children often imitate us and learn in the process. It will take time, bit you will definitely succeed.⠀

🦷WHICH BRUSH?⠀⠀
Also, its time you now leave your finger brush and the gauze aside , and move to conventional brushing. I recommend brush by @pigeon_india. ⠀
⠀⠀
🦷THE TOOTHPASTE. ⠀⠀
You are supposed to use a non-fluoride toothpaste in a rice grain size until your child is 2 or 3 years. And once your child is big and pro at brushing you can move to a fluoride containing one.⠀
⠀⠀
A pea sized amount of toothpaste is used after your child is 3.⠀

🦷BRUSH TWICE⠀⠀
Make it a habit that you clean your baby’s teeth twice. This will also help the child develop a habit of brushing two times in future and will ensure a cavity free baby teeth till he or she is 12.⠀

🦷LOTS OF WATER⠀

Make sure your child is well hydrated and has good amount of water after every meal. This will prevent any kind of bad breath or germs staying in your child’s mouth.⠀
These few simple steps you can follow to ensure a good oral hygiene and a healthy mouth for your child.
